Problem: 70% of young people leave subtitles on all the time, but a lot of them feel like where they are and how they look make them a distraction.

Solution: Subtitles shouldn’t be a distraction. We’re creating dynamic text that interacts with the visuals to add a new dimension to how Netflix tells their stories.

By giving some world classics a fresh subtitle treatment we can reinvigorate them while also exposing people to the best and brightest creators and content the non-English world has to offer on a global platform.

By spending enough time in the “World Portal,” users give themselves a chance to win VIP passes to the festival. Along with meet-and-greets and one-of-a-kind swag, they include exclusive access to sneak previews of upcoming movies and shows featuring their favorite actors and directors.
